A few people have asked about this badge in our website footer and rather than it just hiding away down there, I thought it was worth just explaining what this badge represents and why it is there.
How we sell matters
Over the years that I've been operating the business, I have seen a huge shift in how people sell. So often when people come to coaching, one of the first steps is to work out a pathway from an endless loop of wanting more and more. It struck me some years ago how this burden is so often placed on the shoulders of the consumer and not always on the seller. It opened my eyes to the role that I can play in breaking that cycle of consumerism and how I can help to empower people to break that cycle, to make informed choices and to know they are supporting an ethical small business. Small businesses form a massive part of the global economy and we have a responsibility to change the status quo, to help people make the ethical choice.
I was introduced to the ethical move by my wonderful coaching supervisor, you can find out a little more about this project here..
So what does this all mean at the grassroots of how I operate this business, here is the pledge that I have taken and work hard to stand by it in all our services, offerings and running of the business.
We put the person before the sale. We respect you and your privacy. We will help you make the best choice for your needs, not ours.
We communicate inclusively, truthfully, and clearly. We will not confuse you or hide information from you. We will help all audiences feel welcome.
We take responsibility for our part in changing the marketplace. We recognize the need to break the cycle of consumerism. We will continuously review our sales and marketing to ensure they benefit the common good.
So this is an evolving journey, it is part of our journey in coming away from the main social media platforms in the last few weeks. We keep learning and changing and really comes down to how we communicate, how we support each other as fellow humans on this journey of life and most importantly, how we can run a business powered by transparency, honesty, responsibility, trust, integrity and equity.
